1 Suspension problem of the 2006 Lincoln LS

Failure Date: 03/20/2018

The fan does not run. Caused the intake manifold to warp and the motor oil and antifreeze to bleed into eachother. Eventually the engine will crack if issue remains unaddressed. I did an online search and found a safety recall (#13508) for my 2006 Lincoln towncar that involves the coolant aluminum bypass sticking shut and thus causing the fan not to kick on. However, when I searched safety recalls on Lincoln and Ford's official websites no information came up regarding that particular recall. Please advise. Thank you, tburgess082645@gmail. Com.

When ever the car is driven any little bump or patch in the road has the car making a loud slam sound even worse going over any bump and even worse into turns. Also the wheel seems to pull at those times as well, this is on any street or highway while driving, feels very scary and unsafe. We don't have funds to fix this and it's been a problem only getting worse.

4 Suspension problem of the 2003 Lincoln LS

Failure Date: 02/01/2016

While driving this car on a highway or street any time it encounters small bumps the wheel turns and there's a loud slamming sound from the front passenger and driver side of the car. It's worse going into turns speed does not matter you can go slow or fast and the loud slamming sound is there. It feels very unsafe and dangerous. But me being a senior citizen with a son who as a disability we cannot afford to get this fixed our selves. It started a while ago but was not that bad but it just progressed and got worse. We need this car for doctors appointments and food shopping. We cant travel far for fear of being in a crash or being stranded.

6 Suspension problem of the 2001 Lincoln LS

Failure Date: 07/02/2015

On two occasions my car suspension had failed. I am just lucky I was not on the highway or I could have been fatally wounded. I can not believe I never received any notices about the suspension recall. The first instance I was driving in my driveway and the car completely dropped down on the tires and could not move the vehicle. The second instance I was driving and the suspension fell on a regular road not a fast highway. It had cost me $250. 00 to have it towed both times because it could not be moved by driving. In addition the second failure cost me $175. 00 because the front tires were ruined. For the repair work on both instances cost me $125. 00 each time totaling another $250. 00 . So because of someone's failure to tighten nuts it cost me $675. 00 , and not to mention the risk of losing my life. Terrifying to say the least.

12 Suspension problem of the 2000 Lincoln LS

Failure Date: 05/01/2012

The design of the suspension causes premature failure of joints and rubber bushings. The parts can not be serviced (greased) and the rubber dries out to easily leading to wear and failure. In addition the wear parts are now cast (as opposed to pressed) into the larger metal parts so that the owner cannot just replace the bushing or joint, you must now replace the whole assembly resulting in the part only being available at the dealer and costing 20-30 times as much ($20 vs $400-$600). Removing the grease fittings and making Ford the only place the parts are available means Ford has a healthy replacement parts stream designed into the car. It also means fewer people will fix this problem when it needs to be fixed leading to more unsafe cars being on the road.

21 Suspension problem of the 2002 Lincoln LS

Failure Date: 04/30/2005

My car has numerous parts that tear up repeatedly, within a 6 months time. Valve cover gasket had replaced twice within a 6 months time. The coil packs go up very often. I had panel buttons just tear up for no reason three times! wheel caps replaced numerous times. Overheating issues, door locking issues, battery replaced twice within 2 years time. Ac issues, (I never used my ac. . At all) . This car has a lot of problems on the t. S. Bulletin. I contacted Ford in reference to the multiple issues I was having with the car, the company representatives told me to take the complaint to the establishment of which I had been dealing with. Then they said Lincoln is an independent owned establishment so I am totally confused by this whole ordeal, they know that they have had a lot of multiple problems out of that car. And they refuse to recall some of those (as I would say) hazardous issues. I was at the dealer 2 weeks ago, I was conversing with a rep. At the dealership and he was telling me how the Lincoln Ls was their most problem vehicle, and cash maker for repairs. (OH by the way. . . . . . . I researched to find this site. To answer the question in the consumer section).

23 Suspension problem of the 2000 Lincoln LS

Failure Date: 02/28/2001

Front bumper air deflector on car has been a major problems since we first drove car off the lot. We are unable to drive into any shopping center that has a slight incline without dragging the car. We have repeatedly complained about this and are told by dealer that car does not sit to low. However I can not even go to our neighborhood post office without scraping the undercarriage of car. On several occasions we have had to use wire coathangers to reattach the plastic-like pan in order to drive the vechicle. My husband and I are not "hot-rodders" but 60+ seniors. We drive only on the freeways and in residential areas . As this has been an ongoing problem we feel that either we have a "lemon" or that there is a major structural defect in the suspension of this vehicle . The day we were to take delivery of our car the salesperson called to notify us it had to go to the body shop because one of the doors was not aligned properly. In hindsight we wonder if that is where our troubles began and if possibly this particular car was dropped off the carrier? we feel that having to return this car to the dealer 8 times for various problems with mileage of only 16000 is excessive.
